LIGHTRING
"Lightring" is a project developed for computer aided design and 3D printing classes. Each student purchased very cheap flashlight, and took it apart. The task was set to use internal mechanism but redesign the shell to accommodate additional features. Often while using flashlight I don't want to disturb people that surround me, for example while traveling by plane and reading- I don't like to flash my fellow travellers and disturb their sleep. That's why while also being worn as jewelry "Lightring" is a flashlight designed to lessen that disturbance. The palm of a hand becomes natural shield and can effortlessly direct the light.
The shell was then 3d printed in multiple prototypes to check the design, as well as it was digitally checked for its production values and usage of injection moulding technology |
